Identity Resolution

Realize we provide the ability to test your Identity Resolution system at each phase of its development with large, realistic data sets that mimic real world variability.
Identity resolution (also known as “entity resolution”) is an operational intelligence process, typically powered by an identity resolution engine or middleware stack, whereby organizations can connect disparate data sources with a view to understanding possible identity matches and non-obvious relationships across multiple data silos. It analyzes all of the information relating to individuals and/or entities from multiple sources of data, and then applies likelihood and probability scoring to determine which identities are a match and what, if any, non-obvious relationships exist between those identities.
The challenge is developing methods to exercise test each phase of you your identity resolution system and acquire data to perform these tests. Exactdata can create test data sets to your specifications – with large or small subsets of “hits” for your Identity Resolution Module.
ExactData’s Dynamic Data Generator can automatically create synthetic test data sets, and output this data in any desired file format, with the ability to modify for new and evolving test case scenarios. Our technology provides the ability to flag specific anomalies and insert event tags to facilitate the analysis process. Required characteristics include:
Slightly variability in demographic data for longitudinally correct records.
- Changes in address,
- Use of a nick name. (“William” used in some records and “Bill” used in others.)
Names and addresses displayed at different points of time in their lives that would include the following variability:
- Name
- Middle name varies between full middle name, middle initial, and an empty string (blank).
- First name varies between full name, nick name (if known) or first letter abbreviation.
- Last name is changed with typographical errors such as might occur on a QWERTY keyboard.
- Name changes due to marriage.
- Address
- Some people move one or more time during thier.
- Thoroughfare designations alternate between abbreviations & being spelling out (e.g. Circle / Cir., Drive / Dr. )
- Street name is changed with typographical errors such as might occur on a QWERTY keyboard.
